Is Dani Moon's "New Light Shining" the song of our times?





Bragg Creek, AB, 12 March 2021 - Dani Moon's "New Light Shining" is the perfect song for our times and she is one of only a few songwriters who could have written it. 





Born to sing in Tucson, Arizona, Dani moved to Bragg Creek, outside of Calgary, Alberta, when she was six. She travelled Europe and Africa, married and had triplets, sharing her time between her American and Canadian homes, until the pandemic.





In a hands-across-the-border collaboration Dani Moon and Jack Miele, producer and engineer for acts like Rod Stewart, the Zac Brown Band, American Horror Story, and Ani DiFranco, have teamed up to create their first single, "New Light Shining." A deeply soulful experience inspired by the New Orleans music scene, the song was released a year into the pandemic on March 9.

Dani has always been drawn to soul and southern music, particularly New Orleans and Harry Connick Jr. She loves the "idea of story-telling through songwriting", and is again collaborating with Jack Miele Productions of New Orleans on the songs for her next album, "Same Moon," from which the single "New Light Shining" is released.
