Inspired by Billy Joel’s 1989 song “We Didn’t Start The Fire”. Listen to Dani Moon’s statement piece on how things haven’t changed in the 30 years since the original was released.
I’d like to add up the total sum of all my regrets, like to know the exact number of all the threats, I’d like to count all the threads that we’ve torn apart.
Thread Count is the 2nd independent album Dani has released, after a 15 year hiatus. It was produced by Jack Miele and Brentt Arcement and recorded in 2018 at The Music Shed Studios in New Orleans, Louisiana. Thread Count is fun and uplifting.
I am tremendously grateful to the beautiful community and residents of Bragg Creek and surrounding area, who came together to support this recording. Special thanks to Sue Corbett, Joanne Taylor and Anne Ewen for having organized the fundraiser that made this album possible.
‘Between 11th and 10th’ was written by John McLean and produced by Thom Moon at (*) in Calgary, Alberta in 2002. It was Dani’s first recording experience, singing 4 of the 10 tracks. ‘Between 11th and 10th’ is blues-y and original.
